Well, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Meghavi and I just graduated fromPitzer College, I live in Portland, Oregon and I've lived there all my life and love it there(though I prefer Northern California).I went toLincoln High School. I just didn't want to go to college there as I've always had my heart set on the Claremont Colleges.I'm majoring in the most wonderful field: Linguistics. I'm totally in love with the field and majoring in anything else isnt even an option! I miss my college very much see my end of junior year thoughts  and believe me, time is going by way too fast!. I play the piano, am involved in student government, MUN(well, sophomore year),co-chair Student Health Advisory last year, and may be the Pitzer Linguistics liaison this year.among other things I love to swim and horse back ride. i'm a poet!I absolutely love musicals. Look hereI actually got to see RENT three summers ago. I'm not going to detail brecause you could tell my interest s by the links that I have.Well, that's all I'm going to say about myself. Links will tell the story. though, this isnt even half my interests!
my final paper for LIng116..i really got into it

There was once a girl. She didn't know what she wanted out of life and she was overwhelmed with everything,so one day she borrowed some Mozart from her dad and all of a sudden things became clear for her. She had been through a lot and somehow these pieces had helped her to get over all the frustrations that had happened. She was finally "BORN" that day and began to LIVE! "We only live once! It's time to look to the future and take that big leap and become everything and more. It is only right to do all that you can do in your lifetime. We could all, each and everyone of us make a difference." She realized that day that it's not the end of the world if things don't always go right and she began to enjoy herself and she became a much happier person...

I sat quietly Not making a sound, nor a peep The only sound that could be heard was the music soaring in the sky as my hands flew across the keys. Black,White,Black White She was not on the planet Earth NO, she had gone someplace beautiful, someplace not known to mankind, someplace where there was no fighting or killing A place where all could be happy She could go there All she had to do was sit at the piano and put her heart into it Not because someone told her to, but because she wanted to be happy, she wanted to go to the perfect place I urge you all today Look into your hearts And you just may find that perfect place Where there are no problems and you can be your happy self
